PURPOSE:To make the stop position of an IC card accurate by detecting the position of the IC card by a photointerrupter when the IC card is inserted to the specific position, and then driving a motor and sucking the card into a reader automatically by a carriage. CONSTITUTION:When the IC card 3 is inserted in the constant position, the motor 10 rotates forward to rotate a lead thread shaft 9. The carriage 5 engages this lead thread shaft 9 and the IC card 3 is clamped on the carriage 5, so the IC card 3 is sucked into the reader 1. Then a connector 6 is provided on the back of the carriage 5 and the connector 6 is pressed against the carriage 5 while its terminal part is pressed with the electrode of the IC card 3 to move to behind the reader 1 through a guide shaft 4. Thus, when the card reaches the specific position, the information signal of the IC card 3 is transmitted to a main device side under the command of a control part.
