<p>PURPOSE:To selectively give the brightening property to a nonimage part during or after an image forming step by forming at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers on a supporting body, and by incorporating a specified compd. in said emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains the compd. capable of releasing the brightening agent shown by formula I by reducing the compd. wherein PWR is a group capable of releasing the group (Time)t-FWA by reducing the compd., Time is a group capable of releasing the group FWA after releasing the group (Time)t-FWA from the group FWA through a following reaction, (t) is an integer of 0 or 1, FWA is a group having a function of the brightening agent. Thus, the brightening property is selectively applied to the nonimage part, and the whiteness of a white ground is improved. And, the fluorescence does not substantially generate in a green photosensitive material, and the brightening property is selectively applied to the nonimage part, thereby improving the whiteness of the white ground.</p> |
