PURPOSE:To obtain the high rust preventive effect and prevent the discoloration of the conductor surface by blending benztriazole (BTA) and a BTA derivative into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) constituting an insulator. CONSTITUTION:PVA blended with BTA and a BTA derivative is coated on a stranded conductor 2 stranded with multiple hard copper element wires to form a PVC insulator 3. The blend quantity of these BTA and BTA derivative is preferably in the range of 0.05-5pts. for the PVC 100pts.wt. constituting the insulator 3. The preventive effect on discoloration or the like is not sufficient if it is less than 0.05pts. for the PVC 100pts. On the contrary, if the blend quantity of either one exceeds 5pts., the rust preventive effect is not improved further, and the electrical and mechanical characteristic is deteriorated, which is not preferable.
