PURPOSE:To prevent finished wiring patterns from becoming obstacles so as to upgrade wiring efficiency, by dividing a printed wiring board into a plurality of small regions with lattice points and searching wirings between their small regions and registering them so that outlined wiring processes are performed and subsequently by determining the wirings inside the small regions from the registered wirings so that detailed wiring processes are performed. CONSTITUTION:Lattice points 11 are regularly disposed on a printed wiring board, and operations of determining wirings formed between respective two points on their lattice points 11 are repeated to perform wiring for the printed wiring board. In such an automatic wiring method for the printed wiring board, the board is divided into a plurality of small regions 10 with a plurality of lattice points 11, and wirings between their small regions 10 are searched and registered to perform outlined wiring processes. Subsequently, wirings 14 inside said small regions 10 are determined from the registered wirings to perform detailed wiring processes. Further, when through holes are disposed on the lattice points 11 in said process of searching the wirings between the small regions 10, for example, these through holes are shifted far from the lattice points 11 and these points are made to be obstacles.
