PURPOSE:To obtain proper exposure even if a camera having any combination is used by considering a factor on the photographing lens side interrupting the determination of the proper exposure and a factor on the camera body side at every combination of a photographing lens with a camera body. CONSTITUTION:An exposure controller for controlling exposure by correcting a photometric output (ip) and an opened F number Avmin of a photographing lens so that the relation of 2A<vmin>proportional 1/ip is formed has at least two means among a means for finding out correction values for correcting a difference in the optical characteristics at every camera body and a difference in the focal distance at every photographing lens, a means for finding out a correction value for correcting a difference in the exit pupil at every photographing lens, a means for finding out a correction value for correcting a difference in the aperture efficiency at every photographing lens, and a means for finding out a correction value for correcting a difference in the opened F number at every photographing lens. A deviation is corrected by an added value of at least two correction values out of respective correction values. Consequently, a factor for interrupting the determination of proper exposure can be removed from the exposure controller for a lens interchangeable camera.
