PURPOSE:To generate an easy-to-see outgoing line automatically by checking the large-small relation between a size value display range and the interval between two size outgoing lines and displaying a size value at a position which is further outside the outermost size line of a figure and indicated by outgoing direction indication information when the display range is larger. CONSTITUTION:A control means 2 which uses an electronic computer as a CAD system using a data base generates normal graphic size lines. At this time, a check means 21 checks the large-small relation between the range where size values are displayed and the interval between two size outgoing lines and generates and displays the values when the display range is smaller. When, however, it is judged that the display range is larger, the size value display position is moved and the generation and display are performed. Namely, the means 22 displays the values at positions which is further outside the outermost size line of a figure decided from graphic information 11 and indicated by outgoing direction indication information. Consequently, easy-to-see size is generated automatically.
