PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the uniformity ratio of luminance by providing a long-sized light source for extending toward a display panel, and a plate for reflecting all irradiating light beams to the display panel. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting part 5 of a lamp 2 is extended in a long size to a display panel 1 side, therefore, an irradiating light of a tip part irradiates directly the panel 1, and also the irradiating light of the whole surface of the side part is reflected by a reflecting plate 3 and irradiates the panel 1, and the irradiating light of the light emitting part 5 is utilized effectively. A gentle slanting face 12 and steep slanting faces 14, 15 and 16 of th reflecting plate reflect the irradiating light of the side face of the light emitting part 5 to the peripheral part of the panel 1 where the lamp 2 does not exist, so that the lamp 2 is reflected on all the reflecting surfaces, when it is seen from the front. A middle slanting face 17 is inclined so as to cover the light emitting part 5, and the light emitting part 5 can be seen from both the front and the right and left sides. In such a way, in the case of looking at from the front, the light emitting part 5 of the lamp 2 is reflected on all the reflecting surface, and the reflected light irradiates uniformly the panel 1, therefore, the uniformity ratio of luminance of the display surface can be improved.
