PURPOSE:To control a structure vibration by forming each of vertically plural storage chambers in a storage tank, installing each communicating tube piercing through each storage chamber and being opened to each upper part, and storing such a liquid that comes to the same vibrational period as a body natural vibrational period, in each chamber. CONSTITUTION:The specified amount of liquid is injected into a storage tank 1 consisting of a side plate 2, a ceiling board 3 and a bottom plate 4 from a filler hole 7, while the storage tank 1 is once brought down on the floor crosswise, and the same level liquid is stored in each storage chamber 6 formed with each partition wall 5 through each opening of communicating tubes 10. And, respective openings are closed, erecting the storage tank 1 to the original state, and the stored liquid produces a vibration at the same period as a body vibrational period and such timing that is shifted of the specified phase, thereby controlling vibrations in a structure. Thus, a vibration damping effect to a wind causing different vibrations is securable in case of the structure that has set characteristic frequency or the like to improve strength mainly against earthquake. |
