摘要 NEW MATERIAL:1,10-Bis(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3,5,7,9-decapentaene shown by formula I. USE:An intermediate for a bisazo compound useful as an organic photoconductive material suitable for not only high-speed copying machines but also electrophotographic sensitized substance showing practically high sensitivity for laser printer, especially a lamination type sensitized substance. PREPARATION:A bisphosphonium salt shown by formula II (R is phenyl or alkyl; X<-> is halogeno ion) is reacted with trans-4-nitrocinnamic aldehyde in the presence of a basic catalyst at room temperature - about 100 deg.C to give a compound shown by formula I. The nitro group of the compound is reduced with an amino group and then diazotized to give a bis(diazonium) salt, which is coupled with a coupler to give a bisazo compound shown by formula III (Ar is coupler residue).
