PURPOSE:To improve the comfortableness and the operatability of air conditioning by a method wherein each of louvers is oscillated individually while oscillating positions of the louvers are being detected and their oscillating movements are stopped when their oscillating positions are positioned at their specified positions. CONSTITUTION:Each of louvers 6A-6C performs a swinging movement through driving mechanisms 11A-11C and air conditioned air of which direction is varied is supplied into a vehicle compartment. In case that it is desired to stop the louvers 6A-6C at the desired positions so as to fix the air directions of blowing ports 2A-2C, the desired position of each of louvers 6A-6C is set for each of air blowing ports 2A-2C under operation of a setting means 30. When a swinging position of each of the louvers 6A-6C detected by the position detecting means 12A-12C is positioned at each of the desired positions set by the setting means 30 by a stopping means 16, the driving mechanisms 11A-11C are stopped and the swinging movements of the louvers 6A-6C are stopped. An air wind direction of the air conditioned air is always varied to enable a comfortable air conditioning effect and in turn when it is desired to fix air direction of each of air blowing ports 2A-2C, each of the louvers 6A-6C is individually stopped and it can be fixed.
