PURPOSE:To improve assembling performance and rigidity of body by splitting a hood ridge reinforce into front and rear hood ridge reinforces. CONSTITUTION:A hood ridge reinforce 21 is splitted into a front hood ridge reinforce 22 to be coupled with a hood ridge 3 and a rear hood ridge reinforce 23 for defining a closed cross-section at the side section of a cowl box 2. The front hood ridge reinforce 22 is formed into C-shape, where flanges 22c, 22d are welded to an upper flange 3a and a longitudinal wall 3b of the hood ridge 3. The rear hood ridge reinforce 23 is provided with a longitudinal wall 23a and an upper wall 23b extending laterally inward from the upper edge of the longitudinal wall 23a, where these walls are welded to a cowl box, a hood ridge, a front pillar and the reinforce 22.
