PURPOSE:To obtain a pharmaceutical, stable to humidity and stabilized even by compression molding nicorandil useful as a remedy for angina pectoris into tablets, by blending nicorandil with an organic acid, saturated higher fatty acid which is a solid at ordinary temperature and saturated higher alcohol. CONSTITUTION:Nicorandil is blended with one or two or more organic acids (e.g. fumaric acid or oxalic acid) and one or two or more saturated higher fatty acids which are solids at ordinary temperature (e.g. palmitic acid or stearic acid) and/or one or two or more saturated higher alcohols which are solids at ordinary temperature (e.g. cetyl alcohol) and a pharmaceutical is prepared from the resultant blend by a conventional method to afford the aimed substance. The amounts of the added ingredients are based on the total weight of the pharmaceutical are >=0.1wt.% organic acids and >=0.5wt.% saturated higher fatty acids and saturated higher alcohols.
