PURPOSE:To obtain a half of the magnetic head core with which the deterioration is reduced for the magnetic head characteristics and the accuracy of measurements is increased, by providing an area of the welded part of the butting surface of a laminated core half body. CONSTITUTION:A welded part 4 is provided to the outside of a side foot part 3a for a laminated core half body 3 made by laminating plural sheets of a channel- shaped core thin piece 1 composed of a material having high magnetic permeability such as a permalloy or the like. Another welded part 5 is provided on a butting surface 3b where the core bodies 3 are butted to each other and finally at the assembling time of a magnetic head. As the parts 4 and 5 are provided at two areas, the problems can be solved for both the mechanical strength and the accuracy of measurements of the core half bodies 3 and 3. The surface 3b is polished when the magnetic head is assembled, and at the same time the part 5 is also polished and reduced or removed to eliminate the effect to the magnetic head characteristics. |
