PURPOSE:To improve stability of boundary detection, by collimating and rotating a boundary censor in the left and right direction including the boundary and detecting the rotation position of the boundary sensor by a rotation position sensor when the boundary is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a boundary a is detected by a boundary sensor 2, an output signal d is started and inputted to a control device 35. Time T2 of the output signal d from a starting pulse c and time T1 from the starting pulse c to a central pulse b are measured, the ratio of T1/T2 is calculated and the central pulse b of the boundary a, namely the position of the boundary a in the advance direction of a traveling car 1 is detected. An operating clutch of a left and right traveling device is engaged and disengaged depending upon the detected results.
