PURPOSE:To improve weatherproofness of an ornamental/protective molding used for side molding of an automobile by using a stabilizer agent may be combining a specific ultraviolet ray stabilizer, an ultraviolet ray absorbent, and an antioxidant together as a hardened polyurethane material forming a transparent plastic layer covering the top surface of the molding. CONSTITUTION:An ornamental/protective molding is formed by covering a strip-shaped plastic base material 1 having good heat and shock resistance with a transparent plastic layer 2 of a positive meniscus cross-sectional shape by a potting process. The transparent plastic layer 2 is formed with a hardened polyurethane material which is a reactional product of polyol and isocianate ingredients. In order to improve the weatherproofness of the hardened polyurethane material by adding stabilizer agent to the hardened material, ultraviolet stabilizer agent of hindered amine family as a stabilizer, ultraviolet absorbent of acrylonitrile family, and antioxidant of hindered phenol family are combined and used as a three ingredient agent. |
