PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a printed matter with high quality and high accuracy, by applying a coating liquid by printing from the face side of a screen by pressing a printing squeegee and feeding the squeegee, and pressing a scraper against the rear side of the screen to remove the coating liquid from the back side. CONSTITUTION:A printing squeegee 13 is pressed against the surface of a screen, a flat squeegee 14 is separated from the surface of the screen, and simultaneously, a squeegee carrier 17 is brought into a stroke in the direction of a solid-line arrow by rotating a driving motor 19 forward, and a coating liquid supplied between the squeegee 13 and the screen 2 is applied to a printing surface of a printing material 100 by the pressing and feeding of the squeegee 13. When printing is finished, a frame 4 is retracted in the direction of a broken-line arrow, and a squeegee device 3 is also moved in the direction of the broken-line arrow, resulting in an opened condition. A scraper 35 is moved upward to reach a point Q, when it is pressed against the back side of the screen 2. The scraper 35, in this pressed condition, is moved upward to reach a point R while cleaning the rear side of the screen 2.
