PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the heat bondability of the obtained thermoplastic elastomer composition to various resins and metals as well as its rubberlike elasticity, heat resistance and moldability, by dynamically heat- treating a blend of a peroxide-crosslinkable olefin copolymer rubber, an olefin plastic and an unsaturated carboxylic acid in the presence of an organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION:This thermoplastic elastomer composition is formed by dynamically heat-treating (this means kneading in a molten state) a blend of the following three components (a)-(c) in an organic peroxide to effect its partial crosslinking: (a) 100-10pts.wt. peroxide-crosslinkable olefin copolymer; (b) 0-90pts.wt. olefin plastic, the total of (a) and (b) being 100pts.wt.; and (c) 0.01-10pts.wt. unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative.
