PURPOSE:To obtain tasty processed rice to be simply boiled, by using rice washed with water and water containing inorganic nutrient, irradiating the rice with microwave, cooling and drying in vacuum or in an atmosphere under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:Rice which is washed with water and immersed in water containing a nutrient such as calcium or potassium is added to a container, irradiated with microwave for several minutes and heated. Then the rice is cooled and dried in vacuum or in an atmosphere under reduced pressure to give processed rice. Or, rice which is washed with water and immersed in water is put in a container, irradiated with microwave for several minutes, heated, cooled and dried in vacuum or in the atmosphere under reduced pressure to give processed rice, which together with water containing a necessary amount of a nutrient such as potassium or calcium and granular powder such as vegetables is filled to a pack. The kind of rice is not limited. High frequency can be utilized instead of microwave. |
