PURPOSE:To provide a crude oil compsn. having improved low-temp. fluidity, which comprises a wax-rich crude oil and, added thereto, a particular polyalkyl acrylate polymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymethyl acrylate (a) obtd. by polymn. of methyl acrylate at 50-100 deg.C in the presence of a Lewis acid, a solid acid and a radical initiator is transesterified with a 12-30C satd. aliph. higher alcohol (b) (e.g., dodecyl alcohol) in a molar ratio to methyl acrylate of 0.6-0.99 in the presence of a catalyst (e.g., sodium methylate), thereby obtaining a polyalkyl acrylate polymer (B) contg. a methyl acrylate group in an amt. of 1-40mol.%, pref. 1-30mol.%, and having a number-average MW of 10,000-300,000 and a polydispersion degree of 1.3-2.0. Component (B) is added to a wax-rich crude oil (A) in an amt. of 10ppm or more, pref. 10-2,000ppm.
