<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an abnormal sound which is caused by a frictional vibration occurring at the moment when a drive side rotor and a follower side rotor come into a close contact with each other by making the follower side rotor of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor from a material having a large vibration damping rate. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic clutch has a drive side rotor 2 furnished at a drive shaft 1 and a follower side rotor 5 furnished so as to be only movable a little axially against the drive shaft 1. This follower side rotor 5 is made from a large vibration damping rate material which is magnetic and has the content rate of 3.5-4.5 weight % or so more carbon and 2-4 weight % or so more silicon than are contained in structural use carbon steel ordinarily used. As a result, the occurrence of vibration which is due to a momentary slip occurring when the follower side rotor 5 in the state of stoppage suddenly coming into close contact with the rotating drive side rotor 2 and rotating, is prevented.</p> |
