PURPOSE:To facilitate setting of variable ratio by providing a guide section for entraining a control cable and a flange section for stopping the cable end between two sheets of board members in a stepping lever. CONSTITUTION:Upon stepping of a pedal 31, a stepping lever 30 rotates around a pivot shaft 16 to wind a control cable 17 together with a guide section 35 so as to produce brake force. At the same time, a sector gear 33 is stopped to a stopping click 14. The control cable 17 is guided by the guide section 35 formed between both board members 32a, 32b of the stepping lever 30 with the end thereof being stopped to the flange section 32c of a lever body 32, where the starting point P of contact with the guide section 35 and the central distance thereof R are set according to the shape of the guide section 35 such that the increasing rate of brake force is constant for any stepping angle theta. Consequently, variable ratio can be set easily through simple structure with reduced space. |
