A racket frame having a weight in a range from 260 to 370g is constructed to have a primary natural frequency in a range from 180 to 300 Hz so that the mode of vibration of the frame at release of a struck ball matches that of the ball for better rebound characteristics. Preferably, the natural frequency lies between 220 and 260 Hz and the average secondary moment of area in the strung section of the frame lies between 6000 and 2000 mm<4>. |
