<p>PURPOSE:To enable a mass-fusion of only desired unit cells, by forming a cell- inducing electrode at a part of a surface of each chamber of a chamber plate in a cell-fusion apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 of a plate is provided with a number of microchambers 2 to hold cells. A cell particle 4 introduced into a microchamber 2 is sucked with negative pressure applied to the reverse side of the chamber via a bottom slit 3 and is securely held on the bottom of the chamber. When all chambers 2 are supplied with a pair of cells collected from two kinds of cell groups, a desired cell pair is formed in each chamber. An electric pulse between Pt electrodes 5a, 5b to effect electrical fusion of the cells. Only the desired combination of cell pair can be fused by this process.</p> |
