PURPOSE:To obtain a cement composition capable of readily adding to concrete, slightly forming undissolved lump of flour and capable of kneading with a simple mixer and improve the workability, by blending a readily flowable polymer dispersion as a thickener to a cement. CONSTITUTION:A homopolymer of sodium acrylate, aluminum sulfate, sodium sulfate and ion exchange water are charged into a separable flask having five mouths and equipped with stirrer, thermometer, reflux cooling tube and nitrogen inlet tube and dissolved and then acrylamide is charged thereto, heated and nitrogen-substituted. An aqueous ammonium persulfate solution and sodium hydrogensulfite solution are added thereto and polymerized while stirring to afford a polymer having fine particle dispersed in the aqueous salt solution. The polymer dispersion is blended as a thickener to a cement to provide the viscous cement composition. The composition has good workability, because the composition is a dispersion having low viscosity and good flowability and a conventional quantitative pump can be used thereby. |
