PURPOSE:To get a rotary zigzag cutting tool equipped with a greatly increased number of cutting edge tips, by fitting the tips zigzag to the external circumference of the cutter body and sub-cutter body. CONSTITUTION:This cutting tool 10 is composed of a maing body 11 and a sub body 12, both being fastened woth each other by bolts 18 and the main body 11 fixed to the main spindle of a machine tool for turning. Each body has, on the external circumference, grooves 17, 22 to which cutting tips 31a-31d are fixed by screws 33 through wedges 32. Both bodies fixed with the tips are so fastened by the bolts 18 with each other that the tips are aligned zigzag to compose the cutting tool 10. |
