PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of insertion springs and shorten the adjustment time by separately arranging the insertion springs in a break section insulator and a storage case and providing the spring force adjusting member of the insertion spring in the storage case. CONSTITUTION:A porcelain-clad gas breaker has multiple insertion springs, which are divided into an insertion spring 9 on the break section side arranged in a break section insulator and an insertion spring 11 in an operation box 20, and the strength of the insertion spring 9 on the break section side is made larger than that of the insertion spring 11 in the operation box 20. Only the tensile force is applied to an insulated operation rod 6, which withstands the buckling force, thus its cross section area is not required to be increased. In addition, the insertion spring 11 in the operation box 20 is located at the lower section, with its strength kept relatively small, and its adjustment is facilitated. The insertion force of the movable piece 3 of the break section can be thereby adjusted easily in a short time.
