PURPOSE:To clarify the peak value position of an approximate triangular wave markedly low in frequency, by a simple constitution such that the peak value arriving point of time is estimated on the basis of the required time until reaching a peak value from the reference level in the vicinity of the peak value to form a peak detection pulse. CONSTITUTION:An FF 3 is set by the detection pulse passing through an OR circuit 1 when a triangular wave level reaches the reference level C in the vicinity of the peak value voltage VA thereof or more and Q-output is subjected to falling integration in accordance with the time constant due to the resistor R1 and condenser C1 of a double integration circuit 4. When a triangular wave reaches the reference level (d) being the average of the level C and the voltage VA, the FF 3 is reset by the signal of an OR circuit 2 to reverse the output of the circuit 4 and rising integration continues for the same time until a feedback diode D1 is turned ON. On the basis of the integral output at this time, the peak detection pulse based on the arrival estimation of the triangular wave to the voltage VA is generated from a monomultivibrator 13 by and AND circuit 6 through a comparator 5 and the peak position of an approximate triangular wave markedly low in frequency is clearly detected by a simple constitution. Further, the position of bottom voltage VB can be similarly detected.
