PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of quantitative analysis, by recirculating distilled water and a reagent by respective liquid feed pumps and changing over the flow passage of distilled water or the reagent to inject a liquid specimen to analyze the same by an optical method. CONSTITUTION:As liquid flow routes, two systems are present and the first flow route is composed of distilled water or a reagent DW pump P1 valve B1 injection valve I valve B2 column C1 or C2 valve B3 flow cell F waste liquid bottle H. The second flow route is composed of reagent or distilled water L pump P2 valve B1 valve I valve B2 column C1 or C2 valve B3 cell F bottle H. The first and second flow routes are changed over by the valve B1. A substance SA to be quantified generates light emission under the state wherein an aqueous H2O2 solution is injected from the valve I and, when said substance passes through the column C1 or C2 packed with a catalyst. The energy of emitted light of the liquid mixture is detected by a light detector S. By this method, the accuracy of quantitative analysis can be enhanced.
