PURPOSE:To manufacture a main pipe and branch pipes, by forming the main pipe and the branch pipes from respectively an aluminum alloy of JISA6000 system and applying various plastic working. CONSTITUTION:An intake manifold uses a material made of JISA6063 aluminum alloy as a main pipe 1 and also as plural branch pipes 2. The intake manifold, applying bulge working to the peripheral wall of a pipe to form a short cylindrical swollen part, blocking its point end, thereafter drilling a hole in this point end blocked part and burring the periphery of this hole, prepares the main pipe 1 forming holes 4 while a flange 3 integrally in the periphery of the hole 4. One end part of the branch pipe 2 is fitted into the flange 3 performing brazing.
