PURPOSE:To obtain the high output of an engine by constituting the engine so that a piston is advance/retreat-guided by attaching the spherical piston onto the inner peripheral surface of a cam plate, in a plurality of cylinders radially installed in a cylinder case which is freely rotatably supported. CONSTITUTION:In a cylinder case 2 supported freely rotatably, independent cylinders 3a and 3b are arranged oppositely to a revolution axis P1. Each piston 4a, 4b is formed into spherical form, and the pistons 4a and 4b are allowed to contact the inner peripheral surface of a cam plate 5 having an elliptical inner peripheral surface which is installed onto a body case 1 side, and moved in reciprocation, accompanied with the revolution of the cylinder case 2. Then, the pistons 4a and 4b move in reciprocation two times in one revolution of the cylinder case 2. When a fuel injection port and a suction/exhaust port are formed at the positions corresponding to the cycles of the pistons 4a and 4b, explosion is carried out two times in one revolution of the cylinder case 2. Since each piston 4a, 4b is formed to be spherical, the generation of prizing phenomenon is suppressed, and the high speed revolution of the engine with high output is permitted.
