PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized and inexpensive image photographing device by controlling the quantity or illuminating time of back light projected from an illuminating means arranged on the rear side of the screen of a liquid crystal display by using a control means to imprint the image on a film arranged in the vicinity of the screen. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with the illuminating means for supplying back light to the liquid crystal display 1 for displaying various images on its display screen 8, the control means 4 for controlling the means 3 and the film 6 arranged in the vicinity of the display screen 8 of the display 1 the quantity or illuminating time of back light is controlled by the means 4 to photograph an image. Since the formed image is directly and adhesively printed on the film 6 set up in the vicinity of the image without being passed through a photographing lens, the weight, size and cost of the device can be reduced in accordance with the omission of the photographing lens, its image forming distance, and so on.
