PURPOSE:To facilitate the mount onto a base as a miniaturized function module by inserting an insulator supporting a rod-shaped center conductor between a recessed part formed to a position corresponding to the input/output side of the waveguide with respect to the case and the escaping hole of the cover so as to form the input/output terminals and providing an elastic contact chip around the cover. CONSTITUTION:A waveguide is formed by a case 1 having an open face to one side and a plate-shaped cover 2 closing the open face of the case 1 are formed. Moreover, the insulator 4 supporting the rod-shaped center conductor 3 between the recessed part 1A formed respectively to the case 1 at the position corresponding to the waveguide input/output side and the escaping hole 2A provided to the cover 2 with respect to the position corresponding to the recessed part 1A of the case 1 respectively is fitted to form the input/output terminals and the elastic contact chip 2B is provided around the plate-shaped cover 2. Thus, it is not required to provide a tapered waveguide or coaxial- waveguide converter and the miniaturization and low-cost of the filter are attained. Since the filter is constituted as a functional module, the mounting on the base plate is facilitated.
