PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reflector having the high IR absorptance, and the less tendency for deteriorating the absorbing property due to a heat ray and the less reflection of the heat ray by forming an IR absorbing layer composed of an amorphous carbon film layer having high thermal conductivity on the surface of a substrate body. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous carbon layer 2 forming the IR absorbing layer is formed on the surface of one of reflecting surface of a substrate body 1 by depositing and laminating according to a high frequency sputtering method, etc. The film thickness of the layer 2 is 1-10mum, preferably 1-3mum. The reflectance layer 3 having the IR transparency is formed on the surface of the layer 2, and said layer 3 is composed of the transparent multiple layers having 10-20 layers and is formed by depositing and laminating magnesium fluoride and silicon dioxide or titanium dioxide and silicon dioxide, alternatively. Thus the reflected light having the less reflection of the heat ray is obtd., and as the amorphous carbon layer of the heat absorbing layer has high thermal conductivity, the reflector having the high IR absorptivity and the less reflection of the heat ray is obtd.
