PURPOSE:To feed a paper at the time of and after printing with automatic adjustment according to the thickness of the paper, by providing a rotary member having a rotary shaft parallel to that of a feeding roller, and supporting both ends of the rotary shaft of the rotary member slant slots for automatically varying the gap between the rotary member and the feeding roller according to the thickness of a paper. CONSTITUTION:At the time of operating a push tractor type printer paper- feeding mechanism, a paper 2 is first set to a push tractor 1. The paper 2 thus set is fed between a platen 3 and a printing mechanism 4 by a transmission mechanism, being clamped between a feeding roller 5 and a rotary member 6, and is discharged through a paper cutter 7. Bearing parts of the rotary member 6 are received in slots 8 so slanted that the gap between the feeding roller 5 and the rotary member 6 can be freely varied according to the thickness of the paper, and only the weight of the rotary member 6 is applied to the paper 2.
