PURPOSE:To continuously cast small sized casting product at high speed by closely bringing a tapered part into contact with round tapered receiving part arranged at lower part of pouring basin part in a holding furnace, arranging a runner in the tapered part and intermittently discharging molten metal from the pouring basin part by rotating the tapered part. CONSTITUTION:The round tapered receiving part 5 is arranged at lower part of the pouring basin part 4 in the holding furnace 1 and closely brought into contact with the tapered part 9 provided in a runner opening/closing rod 7. Then, the runner opening/closing rod 7 is inserted into a protecting partition wall 2 to protect it from the molten metal 16, and in the tapered part 9, an outlet side runner 10 intermittently communicating with an inlet side runner 6 in the pouring basin part 4 by the rotation thereof, is arranged. By this constitution, at the time of driving a rotating device 11, the runner opening/closing rod 7 is rotated in accordance with rotation of a shaft 8, and the outlet side runner 10 in the tapered part 9 and the inlet side runner 6 in the pouring basin part 4 are intermittently communicated and at every time of communicating, the molten metal 16 is discharged. By this method, the simple product of small sized casting can be continuously cast at high speed and by executing mass- production, the production cost can be reduced.
