PURPOSE:To generate a highly accurate time signal with a simple construction, by enabling selection of an output of atomic frequency standards as desired based on the results of detection of a frequency deviation measuring means and a level detecting means. CONSTITUTION:Level of outputs of atomic frequency standards 10a-10c is monitored with a level detector 11a while frequency of the outputs is compared with a frequency deviation measuring device 12 to introduce the output of the highest certainty with a switch 13a to a changeover switch 15a of a time signal generation block 14a. An output of a changeover switch 13b is inputted into the other input of the switch 13a and any one of the two systems of outputs is given as input of time signal generators 16a and 16a' to generate a time signal. These two time signals are given as inputs of a majority comparator/ decision unit 18a together with an output of a switch 17b of the other block 14b and a majority signal of the three time signals is outputted. As a result of the decision, either a signal with the smallest time deviation or any signal within a specified error is selected and outputted. |
