发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the titled cell from being liable to see the pattern of a transparent electrode in a state of strong external light by providing with a rugged substrate on the rear surface of the titled cell, and placing the polarizing axis of a polarizing film which is provided on the front of a front substrate so as to be parallel to the arrangement direction of a liquid crystal molecule brought into contact with the front substrate. CONSTITUTION:An orientation film 3A is formed on an electrode 2A mounted on the substrate 1A. While, in the another substrate, the electrode is mounted on the rugged substrate, and the orientation film is mounted on said electrode. Said two substrates are disposed so as to counter the electrode surfaces with each other, and the surroundings of said plates are sealed with a sealing material 4. The liquid crystal layer 5 is formed by injecting a liquid crystal into the space between the electrodes to form the titled cell. The pair of the polarizing films 7A, 7B are mounted on both surfaces of the cell respectively. The polarizing axis of the polarizing film 7A is placed so as to be parallel to the arrangement direction of the liquid crystal molecule controlling by the orientation film 3A. Thus, an incident light coming from an outside is polarized so as to be a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the liquid crystal molecule by the polarizing film 7A, and the absorption efficiency against the external light having a two color dye is improved.
