发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MOLTEN STEEL SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN MOLD IN CONTINUOUS CASTING
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent temp. drop, to perfectly prevent development of suspended cast slab and to improve quality of the cast slab by positive heating on surface at upper part of molten steel in a mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel poured into the mold 4 from a submerged nozzle 2 is cooled and made to the cast slab. In order to prevent solidification of the surface at upper part of the molten steel, it is heated by an induction heating device 6. An inductor 8 formed corresponding to the mold 4 arranges an iron core 10 made of silicon steel around the upper part of the molten steel and as the inductor 8 is formed as hollow conductor, the self-thermic is diffused. A heat-insulating fire-proof board 14 between the inductor 8 and the molten steel surface is arranged, to prevent radiation heat of the molten steel and also prevent heat conduction. By such induction heating apparatus 6, the surface at upper part of the molten steel in the mold is positively heated to prevent the temp. drop.
