PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the performance of a coreless armature by forming a metallic coating layer of a kind different from a conductor between the conductor and an insulating film as a coil strand. CONSTITUTION:A strand in which a coating layer 1c is shaped between a conductor 1b and an insulating film 1a is used as a coil strand 1 to a coil for a coreless armature. A spiral inner cylinder coil prepared by arranging a plurality of the coil strands in parallel to a spirally twisted shape and a spiral outer cylinder coil, the directions of strands of which are directed in the opposite directions to the inner cylinder coil, are connected on the edge face sections of the conductors, thus preparing the coreless armature. When a material having the melting point higher than the conductors 1b is employed as the coating layers 1c, the materials of the molten conductors 1b are not brought into contact with the insulating films 1a even when the position of the irradiation of a laser is dispersed, the displacement of the dispersion is increased and the laser is brought near to the insulating films for the coil strands when auxiliary materials 5 are joined, thus preventing deterioration of the insulating films 1a.
