PURPOSE:To surely produce coke satisfying target quality thereof, by using a heating rate and discharged coke temperature within a softening and melting region of coke as controllable factors. CONSTITUTION:Target values are set for heating rate and discharged coke temperature within a temperature region in which coal charged into a coke oven softens and melts to compare actual values of the heating rate in operation with the target value of the heating rate and determine a deviation. The following heating pattern including the discharged coke temperature is corrected on the basis of the deviation and the heating pattern in the next cycle is also corrected.
