PURPOSE:To improve a forming die in precision and durability by previously providing the same shape with a product forming surface on a forming die for a metal plate and then integrating the formed metal plate and a high strength cemented body into one body. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of the product and the thickness of the surface plate are worked to previously prepare a casting model 1 coated with a mold releasing agent. Then, an iron frame 2 is put on the casting model 1 as a casting frame and the kneaded substance 3 obtained by kneading high strength cement and water is cast into the above casting model. This molded cured body 4 is removed from the die, a sheet wax 5 having the thickness equal to the sum of the thickness of the product and the thickness of the surface plate is attached to the surface to cast the kneaded substance 3. Three iron plates are put on a male and a female cured body 4, 6 to carry out press forming and iron plates 7-1, 7-3 are attached by adhesive agent 8 to the cured bodies 4, 6. The forming dies obtained in this manner is improved in precision and durability.
