The incinerator system for bulk refuse and hydrocarbon-contg. liguids includes an enclosed main combustion chamber. Gaseous products of combustion pass from here into a first and finally into a second reburn chamber, in which complete combustion of most pollutants occurs. The first reburn chamber includes a burner near its inlet and both include a series of jets extending at least half the distance from inlet to outlet. The air or oxygen supply to the jets is controlled between a high and a low setting, in response to a temp. sensed by a sensor in the respective chamber. The temp. sensor in the first reburn chamber also controls the burner between a high and a low setting. |
