PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of newly providing a communication circuit, by installing a facsimile communication means to a digital copying device of an image scanner section and electronically developing printer which are united to one body as a data input-output interface to external apparatuses. CONSTITUTION:A digital copying device 20 is provided with a CPU 21 and a ROM device 23 and read/write memory device 24, which are connected with the bus line 22 of the CPU 21. The device 20 is also provided with an image scanner section 25, laser printer section 26, mechanism controlling section 27, and buffer memory section 28 in its peripheral section. These peripheral apparatuses are respectively connected with the CPU 21 through each port 29 assigned to each apparatus. The bus line 22 of the digital copying device 20 is connected with the bus line 9 of facsimile communication equipment 1 through ports 30 and 14 and the copying device 20 provides the equipment 1 as an interface of inputting-outputting data from and to external apparatuses. Therefore, an already installed private telephone line network can be utilized.
