PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctions of an automatic answering telephone and to improve the reliability of the telephone set, by inhibiting data output from a tone receiver and preventing the output of the side tone of DTMF (dual tone multi frequency) tones from a speech network through the tone receiver when the DTMF tones are outputted from a recorded message sender IC. CONSTITUTION:When DTMF tones are outputted from a recorded message sender IC 1, output of a 2nd tone receiver 6 is inhibited and the DTMF tones from the IC 1 enter into the 2nd tone receiver 6 as side tones in a speech network, and thus, output of a stopping command from the tone receiver 6 is inhibited. Therefore, when the DTMF tones recorded in the recorded message sender IC 1 are reproduced, a microcomputer 7 never outputs a wrong control signal and this system never malfunctions.
