PURPOSE:To copy also an image on a mirror face by arranging a light diffusing layer on a position almost stuck to the image face of an original. CONSTITUTION:A film 8 to be the light diffusing layer is arranged between a platen glass 2 and an original 3' having an image part 7 on its mirror face ground. Light from a light source 1 is diffused at the time of being transmitted through the diffusion film 8, reflected light from the mirror face-like image face of the original 3' is brought to dispersed light and a part of the reflected light is made incident on an optical system including a reflecting mirror 4 and a lens 5. Similarly to an original having a rough ground, the image on the image face is formed as a latent image on an electrostatically charged photosensitive body and the original 3' on the mirror face can be also copied.
