PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of uneven development by arranging plural magnets extending respective magnetic poles in their axial directions on the inside of a developing sleeve in its circumferential direction and opposing a part of the magnets to the upper part of the sleeve as a homopolar part adjacently arranging the same pole on the outer peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:Plural magnets N1, S1, N2, S2, S3 extending respective magnetic poles in their axial directions are arranged on the inside of the developing sleeve 6 in its circumferential direction and a part of the magnets is opposed to the upper part of the sleeve 6 as the homopolar part S2, S3 whose same poles are adjacently arranged on the outer peripheral part Since developer supplied to the surface of the sleeve 6 is jumped over a repulsive magnetic field formed on the homopolar part S2, S3 by the torque of the sleeve 6 and the repulsive magnetic field and dispersed and the mixing of toner with carrier is accelerated, the toner density is averaged and the charging quantities of both the components are increased. Consequently, a uniform image having no uneven density can be obtained.
