PURPOSE:To aim at making a valve system for a four-cycle engine smaller and more light-weight by providing an end pivot at the top of a bolt for tightening a rocker shaft having one rocker arm pivotally installed to a cylinder head so as to support the other rocker arm by the end pivot. CONSTITUTION:An end pivot 10 is provided at the top of a bolt 9 for tightening a rocker shaft 8 having one rocker arm 7 pivotally installed to a cylinder head 4. The root of the other rocker arm 11 is supported by the end pivot 10. Both rocker arms 7, 11 are oscillated by a single cam shaft 13. The number of parts is reduced in this way, and the device of the title can be smaller and more light-weight.
