PURPOSE:To increase moisture permeating volume and reduce moisture condensation by sending high-temperature air in an indoor high-humidity section or on the surface of exposed moisture condensation to a moisture permeable membrane and transferring dried, exhausted air to a section easily condensed. CONSTITUTION:In a dehumidifier constituted of a moisture permeable membrane such as a polydimethyl siloxane membrane or the like disposed in tension on an opening section of wall surface 4, and when the interior 9 is of high temperature and the exterior 10 is of low temperature, water vapor 11 is exhausted out of a room through a moisture permeable membrane 1 by the difference of indoor and outdoor water vapor partial pressures, while taking the air in a high-humidity section around a window 5 from an opening section 7 downward into a cover 3 of the dehumidifier by the operation of a cross flow fan 2 and sending the air upward. Then, the dried air 12 is exhausted out of an opening 8 and sprayed over to the high-humidity section around the window 5 to accelerate drying of the area around the window 5. As a result, moisture permeable volume is increased and moisture condensation can be reduced.
