<p>PURPOSE:To improve the capacity of a sorter without an increase in size by controlling the sorter in such a manner as to put to one side racks of a number obtained by subtracting a number specified for sorting from the whole number of racks and arrange a specified number of racks at equal intervals in a remaining space. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of belt rollers 8 and belt rollers 28 are fitted to a through shaft vertically disposed, and paper transport belts 10 and rack engaging belts are stretched between the rollers. A plurality of racks 13 are capable of moving up and down along a guide shaft 14, and solenoids 17, 18 are fixed to mounting plates 15, 16 of right and left side portions of the respective racks. A turning claw 19 is mounted on a plunger 17a of the solenoid 17 and can be engaged and disengaged with and from engaging means 14a provided vertically extending over the guide shaft 14. A guide claw 25 is operated by a plunger 18a of the solenoid 18 and adapted to engage and disengage with and from a projection 26a of an engaging belt 26. The racks 13 are accumulated below at non-operation position of the claws 19, 25, and subsequently the racks are arranged in order from the uppermost rack first by operation of the claws 25, 19.</p> |
