PURPOSE:To uniformly disperse hollow fibers in a housing by a simple means, by allowing a small amount of a temporary sealant to be present on the bottom surface part of a cup-shaped member to temporarily fix and to fill the terminal part of the hollow fiber bundle in the housing and fixing the hollow fibers by a potting material. CONSTITUTION:A hollow fiber bundle 2 is inserted in a housing 1 and cup-shaped members 4, 5 each consisting of a side wall part and a bottom surface part are mounted to the end surface of the housing 1. In this case, a temporary sealant is preliminarily put in the cup-shaped member 5 and the end parts of hollow fibers are temporarily fixed and filled. Air is sprayed to the other end parts of said fibers from above by a nozzle to uniformly disperse the end parts of the hollow fibers of the hollow fiber bundle 2. A potting material is injected in the housing 1 from a port 3 to fix the inner wall of the housing and the dispersed hollow fibers as well as the hollow fibers each other. The cup-shaped member of the temporary seal part of the hollow fiber bundle is detached and the temporary seal part is cut and air is sprayed to the terminal parts of the fibers in the same way to uniformly disperse the fibers and, thereafter, said fibers are fixed by the potting material.
